If these changes are not made you run the risk of having the bike run too lean or too rich which can potentially can cause engine issues. The TAB Performance Auto Tuner constantly adjusts the air/fuel mixture settings so that when you change the pipes, air filter, or riding conditions you maintain an optimum air/fuel ratio across your entire rpm range. The motive behind the development of the TAB Auto Tuner was to have a plug-and-play unit that could be installed at home in less than one hour. With the majority of fuel managers on the market you are required to take the bike to a dealership and have the unit installed and programmed or tuned.
